An Excursion Into The Middle Kingdom

The brokerage business has its perks. Last week was one of those fortunate times when a client shouldered my expenses for a due diligence excursion to “Zhongguo” or “middle kingdom”, which was the original name of China.  Zhong means “middle” and guo means, “capital”. Zhongguo is best translated to mean “central country” but, the term was used during the Qing Dynasty in 1689 to mean, “Center of civilizations”.
