Christmas – A Love Story

By Fuana Tmarsel —-

From the Old English Cristes Mæsse’, meaning Christ’s mass, the story of Christmas begins with the birth of a babe in Bethlehem in Judea.

His name is Jesus

God’s promised Savior, as in Genesis

the Fulfiller of Old Testament prophecies

as in the books of Psalms and Micah

Isaiah foreshadowed his birth about 700 years in

a declaration to the house of David,

the Lord himself will give you a sign: the virgin will be

with child and will give birth to a son,

And will call him, “Immanuel” meaning “God with us”

Indeed

He is the Wonderful Counselor,

Mighty God, the Prince of Peace

He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases,

He redeems your life from the pit

and crowns you with love and compassion

Truly He was, He is and He is to come….

John testifies of Him

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.

We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only

Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Luke wrote his story stating that

And she(Mary) brought forth her firstborn son,

and wrapped him in swaddling clothes,

and laid him in a manger;

because there was no room for them in the inn.

Christmas is a fulfillment of a Promise

Foretold in Genesis 3:15

It is the story of the greatest LOVE of all

For God so loved the world (you and me), He gave His one and

Only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish,

But will have eternal life.

As the season of Christmas is upon us

I pray you will experience a real Cristes Mæsse

I pray that your eyes will behold His Love

That your Soul be open to His voice

And may your heart be the manger, giving room the Savior

To take up His residency there today,

And throughout the years to come.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.
